Recently I was reading the Guinness Book of Records, and I thought that I could find something interesting. And, I did find something interesting, and I’ve decided to share with you some of the weirdest records that I’ve seen. Christopher Irmscher set the record with 14.82 seconds, in Germany, on September 13, 2008. I think that I can run that fast, but in my sneakers.
Fastest Time To Shoot 10 Arrows
F**k Orlando Bloom, this guy should play Legolas in LotR – Luis Caídas Martín from Spain on El Show de los records in Madrid, Spain on 4 June 2006 have shot ten arrows in just 1 min 7 sec!!
Most Torches Extinguished In 30 Seconds
This man is really cool – he extinguish torches faster than you can blow out the candles. Hubertus Wawra from Germany on Ab India Todega in Mumbai, India, on 21 February 2011 have extinguish 39 torches in 30 sec. Oh, I’ve forgot to say you one tiny detail – he did it with his mouth!
Most Balloons Inflated By The Nose In 3 Minutes
Can you inflate 23 balloons in 3 minutes? This man can do it – but through his nose! The record was set by Andrew Dahl (USA) on the set of Lo Show dei Record in Rome, Italy, on 18 March 2010.
Most Knives Thrown Around A Human Target in 1 Minute
The Great Throwdini (Dr David R. Adamovich) threw 102 14” throwing knives around his partner Tina Nagy in 1 minute. 102 knives!!! I can’t raise and lower my arm 102 times in a minute (maybe I can, but I haven’t try), but certainly I can’t throw an object so many times, especially knives! In living target! And all of them to thrust in!
Most Toilet Seats Broken With Head
The record for most wooden toilet seats broken with the head in a minute is 46 achieved by Kevin Shelley from USA, on Die Größten Weltrekorde in Cologne, Germany, on 1 September 2007.
Most Rotations In 1 Minute Hanging From Power Drill
The Huy Giang from Germany done 141 rotations in 1 minute – this sounds like no big thing – but he was hanging from a power drill. Record was set on the set of “Guinness World Records”, in Madrid, Spain, on 23 December 2008.
Most Bowls Broken With One Finger
The most bowls broken with one finger in one minute is 102 and was achieved by Fan Weipeng from China, on the set of Lo Show Dei Record, in Milan, Italy, on 11 April 2009. The only information I haven’t found is of which material were bowls made – all the same, 102 in just 1 minute!
Tongue Weight-Lifting
The greatest weight lifted with a human tongue is 12.5 kg (27 lb 8.96 oz) by Thomas Blackthorne from UK who lifted the weight hooked(!?!) through his tongue on the set of El Show Olímpico, in Mexico City, Mexico, on 1 August 2008.
Most Swords Swallowed By A Female
Natasha Veruschka from USA swallowed 13 swords, each at least 38.1 cm (15″) long – simultaneously!!! This really weird record was set at – check this out – 3rd Annual Sideshow Gathering and Sword Swallowers Convention, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, USA, on 3 September 2004.
