Is it Well Understood Jesus’ Message?

Jesus, Son of God, helped the sick and poor, weak and helpless, but to sinners too. Jesus did not condemn, it is a privilege of God. Jesus has bestowed and healed. That’s why we killed him. And we are still waiting for our meal: to punish, to kill, to cheat, to lie, to betray… Now where is missing: “Go woman and sin no more”, said by Son of God with hope that the world will become a better place?

You are just too stupid to understand.
And your right is to be stupid…

those pictures on the right arent christians, they are catholic.
you want to know the whole truth ? catholic created Islam and are faking to be christians to destroy the world.
and those pictures on the left arent Jesus.

  • Ukulelemike

Well, a majority of these are actually Catholic, not Christian, while the remaining ones, save one, are not Christian either, though they may so claim. The one with Pat Robertson is, in some respects, true, though he has a way of going way overboard: like most ‘equal rights’ movements, be it race, gender, or sexual preference, its starts as equal rights, and becomes greater rights, and special rights, rather than equal.

  • Moon

    Catholics are Christians.

  • Believer

May Jesus Christ our God touch your life, and you’ll know that what you DID is so very wrong. I’ll pray for you…

  • T. Taylor

Read the lectures or Robert G. Ingersoll. His father was a Calvinst Preacher.
Ingersoll was the most popular public orator in the U.S in the 1870s-80s. More popular even than Mark Twain. He spoke against the Church and was known as the “Great Agnostic”. Today he is largely forgotten. SPeaks of the history of the Christian churches. The Christian Church has perpetrated many horrible crimes: torture, death, hypocrisy, persecution, prejudice, repressed science and medical knowledge, sold favors to the wealthy, and advanced the self righteous domination of the weaker and less powerful. Christianity, per se, is not at fault, its leaders, the priesthood, have been corrupt.

The world will be a far, far better place, when religious nutbags stop doing just enough that they think they’ve assured their place in heaven, and start doing more to better the lives of the people here on earth, be they believers, or not. You should do the right thing because it’s the right thing, not because you expect some special reward after you die. You get one shot at life. Make THIS one count for everything.

  • Klix

    @Believer

And who are YOU to judge him?, let him do what he will.

  • Kyle

It should read “What would Jesus do” then “What idiotic f..ktards with no grasp of history think of, when they hear or see anything to do with Christianity”.

    That’s just me though :D

  • Jeffrey

Those people who say that the right side are all catholic are just as misinformed as the poster. Maybe more! 9 pics are not Catholic at all. They are Evangelical self-righteous “christians”. Ku Klux? Really? They hate Catholics! 700 club? Godhatesfag.com? Victory church? Are they Catholic? You guys are idiots.

The Catholic church may not be perfect but at least they are not as self-righteous as the fundamentalists (most especially Southern American fundamentalists) are. For the nth time! Catholics are as much a Christian (if not more) than you guys are.

Oh and f..k the medieval Catholic leaders! (Yeah including your popes!)

Well at least no pic from my church is shown. :D

  • mutantbuzzard

The difrence between sinner and saint, one is forgiven and the other ain’t. Not all Christians are sadistic “Jesus Freeks” any more than all heathens are canablistic infant sacrficing Satenists.

  • Muslim

Thats your problem christians you mix good and bad things and you always get confused.. and you’re already aware of that but Jesus (peace be on him) is just a prophet not god, salam…

  • Taylor

If you truly understood the message of God Through Christ then you would understand what He did. That people are people everywhere and subject to error. My grandfather says it takes a small person to hide behind a hypocrite. When you judge people, not the errors they commit, you become the same as those you judge. I agree that there are big errors in the church, (no church or religion has all the truth) but let’s not throw the baby out with the bath water in anger. It only fuels anti Christian hatred. Or perhaps that is what you want to happen?

  • http://www.walkofgrace.com Jason

I am a fundamentalist Christian, and a “Jesus Freak”.

I know that Jesus came into this world to save us. I know that God loves us. I know that Jesus said the greatest two commandments are to love God and love your neighbor.

As a fundamentalist “Jesus Freak” I would never kill, torture, or otherwise harm anyone who doesn’t agree with me, nor would I condone it. I would never judge someone based on the color of their skin, nor would I condone it. I would never tell people that God hates “fags”, nor would I condone it. (“For God so loved THE WORLD…”)

Beyond that, I’ve met thousands of fundamentalist “Jesus Freaks” in my lifetime, and never have I met one single Jesus Freak who would ever do any of the things listed above.

Don’t get me wrong… I know those people are out there, but they do not make up the majority. Unfortunately for them, they will have to answer to God for the terrible things that they did in His name.

The amazing thing is that if in their lifetime they realize what they’ve done and ask God to forgive them, He is a loving God, and He will do it. He died for the very sins they commit in His name.

But as I was saying, they do not represent the majority of fundamentalist “Jesus Freaks”. Not even close. Grouping all fundamentalist Christians into the same category because of tragedies like the ones listed above would be the same as judging all Atheists because of the actions of men like Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin, or saying every Muslim in the world wants to kill Americans because of what bin Laden did on 9/11

  • Katarina

Then You are not Jesus freak…

you christfags make me f…..g sick with your b……t excuses and lame attempts at defending religion when anyone in their right mind can see its been the downfall of man since we climbed emerged from the primordial ooz.

btw catholics are a branch of Christianity, its the same f…..g thing, in fact all religion is the same in that it causes death, guilt and trollthreads

  • Jess

No none of this is catholic fakes pretending to be Christians…This sickening truth is that it really is Christians, I’m one of them but I refuse to behave the way they do. I have been shunned and outed for believing in Gay rights and abortion should be allowed. Why would a raped woman want to keep the demon crated in her of someone she doesn’t love? Why shouldn’t Jason and Adam have the right to be happy and legal. Because poor excuses of Humans known as right wing Christians.

Andrew is right, with people who act like this, Religion will be the down fall of man.

  • Walrus

First off: A Christian is someone who believes in and follows the word of Christ (look it up in the the Merriam-Webster Dictionary: it’s there). Therefore Catholics (and Mormons incidentally) are, in fact, Christian.
Secondly: Things like the KKK, things like the Spanish Inquisition, like the Crusades are a means of controlling people. They really have nothing to do with Religion, other than the fact that its the avenue they take. As is the point of the article, these people have really nothing to do with Christs teachings.
Thirdly: My favorite thing about this is that it only shows the negative side. It does not show the preachers who fiercely protected the Native Americans and lobbied against Manifest Destiny. It does not show the Catholic relief organizations that exist around the worth with the sole intent o humanitarian aid. it does not show the Mormon relief agencies who show up in droves to provide aid to disaster areas (such as Katrina).
If you’re going to do something like this, make it unbiased. Not this BS.

  • Observer

Imagine a person who was kind, gentle, forgiving, understanding. Imagine this person giving all they could to help others; expecting nothing in return. Imagine this person offering peace and compassion to everyone, even those who were most despised and rejected. Imagine this person starting a worldwide movement, exhorting millions to follow His example. Imagine those early followers getting together, expectant in His return, axious to do that which was right; working hard to up to His example and be considered worthy. These people merely said that they were followers of the “Way” and walked in the path of the Master.
Then imagine if someone else came along, hijacked the whole idea for political reasons and make a fortune out of it.
That’s the difference between CHRISTIANITY and CHRISTENDOM. Now you know.
Please do not take Jesus’ holy name in vain.
It tends to upset Him…. even if He does forgive.

  • Chris

These are not Jesus Freaks, these are people who happen to be Christians, and use their power to intimidate and terrorize. They have become obsessed and engulfed with power. They no longer follow Christ’s teachings, but follow the world’s teaching, by wanting and craving power, luxury, and monetary wealth. Unfortunately there are few real Jesus Freaks in this world. The majority of Christians in the Untied States are simply Sunday Christians and follow the teachings of the world the other 6 days.

  • Cristine Podell

I so liked reading your website. Really good posts! Please continue posting such profound cotent.

  • ajd

What is represented here is not a very accurate explanation of Judeo-Christianity. Many of the people who are commenting here do not really know Christian History, they think they know it but they are misinformed, I will give you a couple examples from what people have posted here.

Let is start with the Crusades how the first Crusade started is some people who are lost to the sands of time went on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, upon returning they went to Rome and reported to the Pope that the pilgrims where being attacked on their way to the Holy Land by bandits so the Pope called for a Crusade to take the Holy Land and stop the bandits.

When it comes to the Spanish Inquisition we find that the Catholic Church could not bring none Catholics to trial so everyone who was tried by the Church was a member of the Catholic church. We also find that most of the people who where brought in for questioning by the Spanish Inquisition where wrongly accused by someone who was not part of the Inquisition, to give you all a idea many people where accused by business rivals, family members who did not want someone to marry a sister/brother, older brother my younger so the younger could get family inheritance and the list goes on and on, and also remember people at the time did not have the right to face the person who was accusing them.

These are just a couple of things people have been misinformed about, I will not deny the selling of indulgences by the Catholic Church, there are many things that can be said about the Catholic Church but before you start to just toss out accusations about the Catholic Church take the time to read some Catholic History and do not forget to add in the influence of man.

One thing I will say in ending this comment is that the Catholic Church feeds, clothes, educates and helps provide medical help to more people then any other organization in the world today. The other thing I will say is there are many people who claim to be followers of Jesus who are not true followers of Jesus, they twist the word of God for their own use and change the Bible and scripture to their own use think mormons, jehovah’s witness, tv evangelist just to name a few.

I will end this at this time before just opening you mouths so to speak take some time and learn some truth before you speak.

  • Fleshlight Splatt

Homosexuality is just another of the perversions by which people deviate from good order, much the same as bribery, murder or substance abuse. Homosexuality is unnatural and not in keeping with the harmony with which the opposite sexes complement each other. Further to this position, legislation for gay rights is a real crime against humanity

  • Babeh

to the outsider (especially non Christian), u will never know Jesus unless u live with Him, walk with Him, talk to Him, believe God is Spirit, and praise Him in spirit and truth. He is not from the world and not belong to the world that is why He departed from world since long long time ago after making sacrifice. to the muslim, Jesus is not a prophet like Muhammad just ordinary person.

  • Che

yes, as you point out not everyone calling themselves “christians” act accordingly to the word of Jesus. We could even say that all of those negative thing you point out happen because those persons did not follow Jesus teaching.

  • hahaha

well done.. .the message is totally lost on the idiots who spew hate in the name of some religious icon.
though I have to say… the comments are hillarious ..especially the ones that blame the catholics…you are all the same .just too blind to see it..
to be fair ..I’m sure there’s a tiny percentage that understand the true meaning of a peaceful soul.

  • KTMass

Lol at all the christfags here

  • v

@peter.parker seriously, you need counseling dude.

  • Paul Galation

Jesus came here to challenge religion not promote it. All the pictures on the left are of man made organizations who have in some shape or form severely distorted the truth and the word. Call them what you want, but they are not Christians. It’s a smear campaign.

Those who want to hear him will. And those who don’t will do and say stupid things to prove themselves of being plugged in to this secular world.

  • Ailene Larrier

That’s a very good written page!

  • Crevek

Last time I saw this much straw I was in a barn.

  • Crimson

The pictures on the right are mostly “Protestant”. Some imbeciles think it´s all Catholic. The Protestants are doing right now what the Catholics did in 1300 A.D.

  • K

that is just plain BS. and that present tense ” what Jesus freaks do ” – either you are stupid or manipulative.

  • Sony

    @K
    Or you are f…..g j..k.

  • Whoah boy

I’m a Catholic, and I just want to say…yeah, we’re Christians, too. And yes, so are Mormons, and Jehovah’s Witnesses, and Anglicans, and Lutherans, and all other Protestants (yes, even the Westboro Baptist Church — the “Thank God for dead soldiers” guys).

For you to accuse someone, or even a group of people, of not being “true” Christians shows that you have no understanding of what it means to be Christian. Christianity is about unconditional love. It’s about loving your neighbor, even if he’s Muslim or Buddhist or Atheist or Jewish or someone else who doesn’t necessarily share your beliefs. Everyone worships God in their own way. You disagree with my beliefs? That’s fine, as long as you respect my right to have those beliefs.

And for the record, the Medieval Catholic Church doesn’t speak for modern Christians, just as the Church hierarchy doesn’t necessarily speak for all Catholics.

  • J.J.F.

Wow to all of you. The catholics were the first ones to bee called Christians. And by the way, it is not the religion, it is the the people who twist words into what they want to believe to condone their actions. Including the clerics in the Middle Ages, and the Church fixed the corruption with the Council of Trent.

  • Lam Ria

Religion will not save anybody, people will always fight for their religion because they show their fanaticism on others, we should let them see our religiosity not our religion.

  • Lai-Lai

Migt help if you actually described what it was Jesus was doing.

  • aaaa

    CATHOLICS ARE CHRISTIANS….you idiots..

  • x

Left hand side – what pioneering atheists had in mind

right hand side – the genocides of hitler, stalin, pol pot and chairman mao
    the french revolution
    north korea
    and many more

in fact in the last 200 years of atheism, it has caused an amount of death approaching that of religion if not greater(!)

In fact it is an error to consider this evil as born of the ideology – as any ideology is capable of birthing evil
its an illustration of the point that even christianity – a loving faith of a god of love – can be twisted into evil by man

    :)

  • seamus

This world is post-religion in the sense that these mystical explanations required by our ancestors are no longer required, or have been sufficiently answered by science, or there is no knowable answer, such as what happens after death.

For someone to tell me that they “know” that their god is the one god I’m reminded how homo sapiens and neanderthals shared the Earth for quite a long while even after it was obvious that a superior species had claimed dominance.

Those that still require mystical explanations for ordinary, mundane things are an evolutionary throwback, or perhaps caught an unfortunate recessive gene that prevents them from perceiving reality as it is now known. mankind’s need for religion is long past, although it was always simply a need to find explanations. Get out of the pew and mingle with folks unlike yourselves and gain some perspective okay? get yolked with some unbelievers and realize we all have an EQUAL point of view.

Seriously, if you’re gonna tell me you know what happens after you die, like you KNOW FOR SURE know? I’m just going to laugh at you. It flies in the face of rationality and you are a marginal person.

BTW catholics aren’t considered christian for three main reasons:

    1. Reverence for Mary that has no biblical example (even jesus called her “woman” not mother)and you even pray to her when jesus said to come to the father in HIS name

    2. Obedience to a hierarchical authority when the Paul’s example for churches was clearly independent bodies of believers.

    3. Confession, nuns, different clothing for clergy, rosary beads, calling a priest “father” when the bible says call no man father but your father in heaven…

I’m not christian but i know more about biblical christianity than catholics (mary-cultists)

but see, there are no real christians, because christians aren’t even christians, they do good things to live forever in heaven. An atheist who does good deeds, with no HOPE of some eternal reward, is a much much better person.

    P.S. @Hahaha – Hitler was Catholic

  • Josh

Oh cmon dont be so nieve Catholics and Christians(Protestant to you libs) are very different. 90% of what the dumb author posted is wrong as usual. Typical Liberal media as always.

  • Rika

Actually, *seamus*, Hitler may have been born a Catholic (another Catholic thing is that they believe someone can be born into faith without choosing), but he hated religion overall. He called it an “infectious disease” (this of course only showed after he gained power since Germany was Catholic at the time and he would have not been able to be elected). He was a Marxis and social darwinist, which resulted in his hatred for other races (mostly Jews, Africans, and Gypsies) believing they were the closest to apes, while white, blond, tall, and blue-eyed Scandinavians and Germans were the highest evolved beings (kind of funny because he himself was a little dark-featured man). If you go through intense research you can actually see how his “religious” views go from “protecting Christianity” to anti-Semitism to plain fear (And I’m not basing my statements on wikipedia, but on the progress of documented speeches and records). There is plenty of information at Oxford library.

*woah boy*, Jehovah witnesses are not Christians (no matter what they tell you). Their beliefs are actually closer to Muslims, since they don’t believe that Jesus was God (the base of Christianity), but a prophet.

  • Don’t forget that

It’s love that makes the world go around

  • HypnoToad

Ah yes. More religion bashing from our non-spiritual friends who embrace ignorance and will stop at nothing to keep themselves that way.

“SEE? SEE?!” they will proclaim at every bit of anecdotal ‘evidence’. “Religion just makes the world a horrible place!” They remind me of Soviet propaganda a few decades ago, showing Russian citizens ugly little glimpses of American life — like strung-out bums in gritty alleyways — and pretending they represented widespread American culture.

Take medieval Catholicism, for example. At a time when the Catholic church was the most powerful organization in the world (European kings bowed to it), some popes lived an absolutely decadent and evil lifestyle — exempting themselves from any Commandment they felt like. As some of the above pictures display, they were not godly men. They were men of power and used religion to keep their hold on power. It was disgusting, to be sure. But it wasn’t God’s fault, and it wasn’t average Catholics’ faults either. Only an idiot would believe modern Catholics condone torture.

Just like Pat Robertson — a caricature that people like to hold up to make fun of religious people. I’m a very religious person (not a Catholic) and I don’t give a hang what Pat has to say about anything. (Although, he was somewhat right in this particular instance. Feminism is indeed all about breaking down the family, disrespecting men in general, and has little to do with equal rights.)

GodHatesFags.com falls into the same category. It represents the tiniest minority of religion in this country; no serious Christian believes that God hates fags or is impressed that some creep would dress kids up that way. Actually, when Christians rightly assert ‘Hate the sin, love the sinner,’ anti-religionists stick their fingers in their ears and sing, “Blah blah blah!” They don’t want to hear it because they’re obsessed with the ‘hate’ narrative and do not care to be corrected.

You can take a “Jesus’ Message” compilation like this seriously when you see these same pictures juxtaposed beside Mother Teresa spending her life helping poverty-stricken Indians, Pope John Paul II helping near-death Jews after WWII, Lutherans building schools and hospitals in third-world countries, hordes of Mormons flooding into storm-ravaged areas to help complete strangers with clean-up, SDA’s sending tons of thrift-store supplies to needy countries, church-sponsored AA, crisis counseling, literacy programs, or millions of altruistic acts done daily according to the admonitions of Christ. Until I see that, it just looks to me like more, “I can’t hear you! Blah, blah, blah!”

  • Monica

Now where is missing: “Go woman and sin no more”, said by Son of God with hope that the world will become a better place?
