Happy Chinese New Year
This year Chinese New Year begins on January 23, and this is the year of the Water Dragon! Dragon represent the energy, power and progress. Water Dragon brings many possibilities for good fortune. In many countries Chinese people celebrate on the street. On that day they performed traditional dragon dance. Most people do not eat meat on the first day believing that it ensures long life and good health. It is also very common to invite the so called lion dance troupe to perform the dance which is supposed to remove all ill energy and not-welcomed spirits. It is a day when you should not travel. It is best to spend it at home among family members. It is also a time when people wear their new clothes to invite new energy into their lives.
