According to Google Earth Europe has the Greenest Cities on the Planet

As you can see in these pictures (all these are Google Earth screenshots), some cities do not look very nice from the Earth’s orbit as when you visit them in person. Google Earth should work a little on the aesthetics. I do not believe that so many European cities are greener than the rest of the world. Just look at Los Angeles – looks horrible! However, I think the worst example is Moscow. Moscow is one of the most beautiful cities in the world but on this picture looks terrible. Look and see for Your self.

In my opinion, according to what we see here, the list of 10 greenest cities in the world is: 1. Prague, 2. Berlin, 3. Belgrade, 4. Dublin, 5. Budapest, 6. Amsterdam, 7. Oslo, 8. Madrid, 9. Cairo, 10. New York. I’m sure you do not agree with this :), so leave in comments, where all I was mistaken; or if you have a suggestion to add some cities – tell us; or anything else You have in mind, and has to do with this topic – don’t hesitate, write us.

Just like to point out that the Australian city shown is Ca_n_berra (Canberra), not Ca_m_berra, as you have it. The mistake is understandable as many Australians have appalling diction and say it with an M, even though they KNOW it’s spelled with an N, but they’ll all pick you up on it :-)

Google Earth includes a hotchpotch of satellite images, licensed from commercial imagery providers and from various other sources. The images are takern from different seasons and years. Therefore they are not comparable. Any satellite image can be lighter, darker, contrast-stretched, filtered, etc. Just like you cannot always trust a photo which might have been photoshopped.

Anyway, nothing against GE, but people need to know what they are looking at. No magic there. and nothing very different than what Bing Maps, ArcGIS Explorer Online, etc. also show.

Our dog generally gets three walks a day, including one off leash at a park to play fetch game. I am frightened if we may struggle to fit in three a day once the baby gets here… But I know he is definitely better mannered when he is tired!
